臨床醫(yī)療：主要從事各種原因?qū)е碌娜梭w體表組織器官畸形及缺失的臨床修復重建工作，擅長應用顯微和擴張皮瓣修復大面積體表組織缺損和器官再造，尤其在會陰整形及性器官再造方面有獨特造詣。熟練掌握：1、顯微外科技術(shù)：以顯微外科技術(shù)和原則指導的復雜多組織遠位游離吻合血管及微創(chuàng)修復操作。2、整形外科技術(shù)：以整形外科技術(shù)和原則無創(chuàng)無張力指導的內(nèi)在功能與外觀形態(tài)兼顧的修復理念。3、皮膚組織擴張技術(shù)：以美觀為指導的就近擴張及靈活多變的擴張皮瓣移植轉(zhuǎn)移方法。
臨床主要解決：1、泌尿生殖及肛門部位的先天性畸形（尿道下裂、陰道閉鎖、肛門閉鎖）、外傷及感染后的瘺與竇道、肛門失禁、盆底松弛。2、真假兩性畸形及跨性別畸形的性器官再塑造，以及性別重塑后的五官輪廓和體形雕塑。3、體表創(chuàng)傷瘢痕及先天性胎記的修復，尤其對于復雜的面部及會陰部的毀損性畸形有豐富經(jīng)驗。4、醫(yī)學美容：雙眼皮成形、瞼袋切除、鼻成形、腹壁成形、除皺、面部年輕化手術(shù)；失敗的美容手術(shù)修復；隆胸與乳房下垂矯正；吸脂與脂肪移植技術(shù)。
科學研究：2001年參與衛(wèi)生部臨床學科重點項目“尿道下裂綜合治療的研究”。2002年承擔國家自然基金“組織工程化尿道的研究”中種子細胞的培養(yǎng)與動物實驗部分研究工作。2012年主持完成人事部留學基金“鼠皮膚干細胞空間分布規(guī)律研究”。2015主持完成院所基金課題“攜帶神經(jīng)肌肉支配及闊筋膜再造白膜的犬功能陰莖再造術(shù)”。2018年6月-2022年6月主持首都特色臨床項目“動態(tài)功能性陰莖再造的臨床應用研究”。2021年9-2023年10月主持中國醫(yī)學科學院科技創(chuàng)新項目“三維掃描技術(shù)在頸部瘢痕攣縮精準治療中的應用”。2021年一月-2022年一月院所基金“假兩性畸形家系的基因遺傳學研究”及“組織工程陰莖海綿體的構(gòu)建”。2024年1月開始主持首都發(fā)展專項課題“基于真皮血管三維可視化的跨區(qū)皮瓣遠端靜脈淤血機制研究”。
